Picture hosting is one way that you really can
save a BUNCH of money in your listings!
If you want to put more than one picture in your
auction... here's the breakdown of what it will (or would have)
cost you:
| eBay Picture
Services Fees |
|
If you use eBay's picture service... each additional picture
will cost you $0.15. If you average 4 pictures per auction
that's $0.45 extra per auction you're going to have to pay.
(remember, you DO get 1 picture free.) Say you usually run
10 auctions per week... Now, you're up to $4.50... and that's 4
weeks per month ~ that's $18.00... and if you'd do that for a
year, you'd be paying a WHOPPING $216.00 per year! No joke!
The first place that I would recommend (I use
them personally!) would be Photo Bucket. They offer both
FREE and PRO accounts... If you have a store, or run many auctions
at the same time... I'd recommend upgrading to the PRO account so
you don't run out of Bandwidth (which is how many times your
pictures can be viewed per month!!).
For free accounts - you'll get 1GB Storage Space
- with an image file size of 1MB, up to 1024x768... and up to 10
images in a slideshow. A video length of 5 minutes, and a 10GB
Bandwidth.
The paid account (PRO) has a 5 GB Storage Space, with an image
file size of 2 MB and 2240x1680, with up to 50 images in a
Slideshow. A video length of 10 minutes, and MOST Importantly -
and UN-metered Bandwidth. In addition, you'll get a 10%
Print discount, FTP Support, and Premium Support. They charge
$9.00 for 3 months, or $25.00 per year (30% discount)... which
breaks down to about $2.00 per month.

One of the BIGGEST reasons that I promote Photo
Bucket so much, is their new *tool* called FLOCK. (You can
download it after you've signed up for your new account - FLOCK is
a TOTALLY FREE Tool!) It's a new browser, where you can drag
and drop your photos from your MyPicture file, to upload the
entire file at one time. If that wasn't reason enough...
they have an amazing drag and drop feature where you can drag and
drop *THUMBNAIL* sized pictures into your auctions (it IS
compatible with Turbo Lister and eBay). Why is that SO
wonderful? It shortens the download time of your auction...
your customer will be able to see the smaller version quicker, and
when clicked... they will get to see the FULL sized photo that you
uploaded to Photo Bucket!
If after you set up your
photobucket account... you'd like me to add your template
pictures... I would be happy to do that for you (FREE of Charge -
Remember... I LOVE FREE!). I'll also modify your HTML
template, so it uses your personal account!

Another place that I would recommend
is Seller Sourcebook. They have amazing customer service, and
you'll get reliable picture hosting service, with access to their
templates, as well. I have also contacted them, and they will
accept my templates, for you to use there - for your own personal
use... they will NOT be shared with any other user.
They're a little more expensive...
but they're still MUCH less than paying eBay for extra pictures in
your listings!
