Pictures... yet another thing that can make a
BIG difference in how much your item will sell for!
I use a Sony Mavica Camera... I am in LOVE with
it... for several reasons... but one of the biggest reasons, is
there is NO memory stick. It takes the mini-cd's which is
just SO super-convenient. It's not only great for eBay
pictures, but it's great for the family too! You can use it
as a camcorder also. Sorry... enough about my camera! lol
When you go to purchase a new camera, make sure
that it has a MACRO setting. You're really going to need
this when photographing the small details of your items. The
better the pictures... the less questions you'll have about your
item, and the less hesitation your customer will feel about
purchasing your item!
Don't be afraid to put more than one picture in
your auction! Make sure you have a few different views of
your items... You'll also want to show any flaws that your item
may have... and if you're a clothing seller... make sure you take
a picture of the label!
No matter HOW good your camera is... this is one
tool that you're going to want! The tool that I simply
couldn't do without is called EasyImage Batch. I purchased
my first picture optimizer from the same company... it was called
EasyImage Lite. Both are really great tools, but honestly, I
prefer the EasyImage Batch. The difference in the two is...
The Lite version... you can only resize/optimize one picture at a
time. With the Batch version... you can take a whole BATCH
of pictures (in a file... or even the complete file!) and
resize/optimize them ALL in the same Batch (Hence the name! How
cool is that! lol)
Here's a link where you can get a free 30 day
trial,
if you've never had it before. You can also get to the Lite
version (free trial, as well!) if you choose too.

Picture hosting is one way that you
really can save a BUNCH of money in your listings! You won't
have to limit yourself anymore because of the money you'd have to
pay eBay! I go into further details on the Picture Hosting
page, but here's a quick link if you're the impatient type! lol
